Foamed polystyrene cutting devices are for slicing foamed polystyrene slabs. The cutting mechanism is a resistance wire that is heated to a temperature at which the foamed polystyrene melts. With the aid of this device it is possible to cut slabs both vertically and horizontally. Depending on the length of the guide bar, the thickness of a foamed polystyrene cut amounts to 250 mm or 450 mm, whereas the width of the slabs amounts to 1200 mm.
